   we purchased and assembled the valia solar fountain. it works when the sun is on the panel but if you walk in front of the panel or if the sun goes behind a cloud it stops working. does this mean that it is set up wrong . thankyou john

   Hello John;

   Thank you for contacting us. The Valia solar will require direct sunlight in order to work of the ‘direct solar‘ mode. The solar panel also has a ‘battery backup‘ mode that will enable the unit to run when weather conditions are less than ideal (up to 4 hours). This dual functionality enables you to run the fountain during the day and also in the evening. Before solar technology was limited to running either one way or the other but with our new innovations we have provided you with a panel that can do both. This versatility will enable you to run the unit more frequently.
