i have this product, just removed it for the winter, and I am not sure how to properly store it. Can you tell me what to do with the foam filters and bioball media? The unit itself I store it clean and dry, but not sure what to do with the filters and media.

Hi Rob
And thanks for the great question.
Once you’ve dried and cleaned the device we suggest storing it in a warm, dry location. This will help to prevent any possible damage from extreme temperatures, in particular the “O-ring” used to seal the lid should be protected from extreme temperatures for best performance.
Regarding the filter media, with exception to the bio balls, we suggest properly cleaning, drying then storing these materials inside the reservoir to ensure they are not lost for next season. The bio-balls can be removed and set in a separate canister, do not clean these as you will eliminate any nitrifying bacteria.
MicrobeLift PL can be used in the spring to help start your pond and “charge up” biological component of the filtration.
